Back to the race. The usual suspects were up there. Wicks, Kelly, Mcfarlene, Lockett, Major, Clark etc but a few additions this year. Phil Sly making an appearance for 4th place and last years U20 winner Steve Conner taking 6th place. I need to pull out previous years to apply some simple statistics to see if the average age of he top 20 is reducing back down again from previous years. results man.

Once again Wicks was out in force from his recent GB representation and ripped the field up by a good couple of minutes. Does this guy sleep with the course map under his pillow? Has he a GPS embedded in his head for the shortest course? Should it be moved back to Happy Valley for a little variety as that course can really wind one up  on a bad day?

The Surreys always pulls it surprises. Mike Trees grabbed 15th place while finishing 51st in a recent Surrey lge, similar to what I did a few years ago while others who should have been 'well up there' were back in the bulk of the field.....thats Lloyd park for ya... it can spit you out pretty bad.

In the ladies race Emily Adams took 3rd after a confident win last year. Lily Partridge, a 9.44 3000m under her belt this year and running close to Adams in time at the South of England 6 stage back in September edged out the ever improving Justina Heslop from Clapham Chasers...
